We are grateful for the generosity and commitment of Rotary clubs in Great Britain and Ireland, particularly following the fantastic support in response to the earthquakes in Morocco, Türkiye and Syria. You have been instrumental in helping us to make a lasting impact in so many lives. So that your outstanding efforts in disaster relief are properly recognised, we introduced our Partner Club programme in 2023.

A Partner Club is a Rotary club in GB&I that supports our work by donating over £2,000 in a Rotary year. We want to say a special thank you to these clubs, and go one step further to acknowledge their efforts. Partner Clubs have a special role as fellow humanitarians. They ensure that we can continue to make an impact to people’s lives when they need us the most.

What types of Partner Club are there?

There are four Partner Club levels, linked to how much you donate in any given Rotary year. They are Bronze – £2,000; Silver – £4,000; Gold – £6,000, and Platinum – £10,000. Which level you aim for in the year is completely up to you. Rest assured, that whatever your contribution, your help will mean a huge difference to families affected by disaster and conflict.

How do you recognise our achievement?

Partner Clubs will receive an embossed certificate, a ShelterBox Partner Club digital badge for their website and Facebook Page, and an Impact Report at the end of the Rotary year. They will also be listed on this webpage, and Gold and Platinum Clubs will be featured in our Beyond the Box Magazine. We will present Platinum Clubs with their end of year certificate in person, wherever possible. Plus, Platinum Clubs will also receive a special framed certificate to acknowledge the significance of their efforts.

Types of Partner Clubs and how they’re recognised

We will celebrate your achievement in different ways, for each type of Partner Club.

How do we become a Partner Club?

Fundraising efforts from Rotary in GB&I are especially supportive and as such we want to give special recognition and gratitude to as many clubs as possible. We do this by sending Partner Club letters and certificates to all clubs who have donated over the threshold, wherever we have the correct address details for club contacts and permission to contact them.

We are asking that prospective Partner Clubs please register your intent by filling out the form below with the correct person to contact with your certificates and letters. You may also consider making a pledge for how much you intend to raise – this will help with our forward planning and ensure that we can support your fundraising in the best way. We ask that you ensure that all funds sent to ShelterBox (including via BACS) are accompanied by a note or email informing of your club name and the amount donated. This helps us to make sure that all of your donations are accurately recorded and celebrated as part of your end of year total. In some instances, you may wish to have individual or corporate and business donations credited to your club. That’s fine, just let us know and we will add it all towards your yearly total.

FAQS

Will donations linked to our Rotary club still count?

Yes, as long as any donations that come into us from individuals or businesses are clearly linked to your club, this will be included in your total.

Can you help with our fundraising efforts?

Absolutely! We have a number of useful resources that can help with your fundraising. We can also help find a speaker to present at your club with an update talk. Plus, we have the newly launched Stock the Box Appeal. Through this you can help us re-stock and prepare for the next disaster by fundraising for the amount it costs to provide different aid items and packages of kit.

Can a speaker come to our club?

Yes, we’d love to organise a volunteer speaker to come along and present to your club. We know how important it is to see the impact of your donations and hear stories from families around the world who have benefited from your donations. Please fill in the Book a Speaker form and we’ll do our best to get someone to your club.

Can we fundraise for a specific country, or area of work?

Your support will fund our responses as part of our General Fund. The best way for us to have the greatest impact is by staying flexible. It is essential that we have funds available to support those affected by disasters all around the world. However, in some disasters and conflicts we are able to restrict your donations to a particular country. We will clearly communicate if this is the case. We also have our newly launched Stock the Box Appeal, where you can help us re-stock and prepare for the next disaster. This helps us be there when people need us most.
