Applicant guidance

ShelterBox uses anonymous recruitment. This is a process to remove identification from applications. It helps to consider people on their skills and experience instead of factors that could lead to biased decisions.

Therefore, our recruitment system will pull information into your application from your CV when you attach it. Please ensure you check over this information and edit where needed.

The introductory statement will be taken from the opening statement of your CV however this is editable should you wish and allows for 2000 characters, approximately 300 words.

Please be aware that shortlisting panels will not be able to view your CV in full as an attachment nor can they view any other attachments you choose to add, such as a covering letter. This is to ensure anonymous recruitment and so the system automatically omits it from the page.

Please also ensure you also answer the supplementary questions, as part of your application. These are an opportunity to briefly illustrate how you meet the requirements for the role and why you want to work for ShelterBox.

These questions allow for 1500 characters, approx. 230 words. The third supplementary questions also gives you an opportunity to tell us anything else you feel we need to know about you.

Please ensure that you have checked over your application and are happy with it before you submit it, as you will not be able to return to the application to edit it once it has been submitted.

We hope you find our recruitment journey smooth and straightforward and we look forward to receiving your application.
