What is happening in Lebanon?
As the war in Gaza rages on, it is now having a devastating effect in Lebanon.
Buildings have been reduced to rubble and people have fled airstrikes with only what they can carry. They don’t have the essentials they need to survive.
Whilst the ceasefire offers people a glimmer of hope, many have lost their homes, belongings, livelihoods, and loved ones.
People have begun returning home but tens of thousands of people do not have safe and secure homes to return to.
It is likely thousands will remain displaced or living in damaged homes for the foreseeable future and require humanitarian assistance.
As the colder months approach, simple items like mattresses and blankets are desperately needed.
Please donate today. Together we can help families in Lebanon and around the world.

How is ShelterBox helping?
We will be supporting people in Lebanon who are sheltering in communal spaces like schools. Essential items like mattresses and blankets can protect them from the cold this winter.
Some people have begun returning home but tens of thousands of people do not have safe and secure homes to return to. It may take months, if not years, to begin to recover and rebuild lives.
We are dedicated to supporting people through the winter in Lebanon and Gaza. We’ll be working with local organisations so we’ll be able to reach people quickly.
Meanwhile our response in Gaza continues.
Ceasefire in Lebanon
Haroon Altaf, Regional Director at ShelterBox, is overseeing the Lebanon response. He says:
“We welcome the ceasefire in Lebanon. It must mark the end of people being forced from their homes with nowhere safe to go.
“The ceasefire must hold and we continue to urge for lasting peace across the Middle East, including in Gaza. Anything short of this will not be enough to protect all civilians and get lifesaving aid to people who need it most.
“We remain dedicated to supporting people to meet their basic needs throughout the winter in Lebanon and Gaza.”
