Do you want to help give shelter to families facing disaster? If so, please sign up to Tent for Lent. You have 40 days to fundraise for ShelterBox, helping to provide shelter for families who’ve lost their homes to earthquakes, floods, hurricanes or conflict.
It’s easy to get fundraising. Have a Lent Lunch. Host a collection. Do a sleep-out. Give up chocolate, swearing or do a digital detox. Be creative! It’s totally up to you. You can do it as a congregation, a group, with friends and family, or by yourself.

Fundraising inspiration
Last year fundraiser Jenn completed a sponsored litter pick up over the 40 days of lent.
Jenn and her dog Groot often went out every day of Lent, in all conditions including heavy rain to pick litter in their local area – raising over £700 for those in need.
Inspired by the urgent need to address both local and global challenges, Jenn decided to combine her passion for environmental responsibility with a commitment to humanitarian causes.
Jenn shared: “I’m really proud to work for ShelterBox, but I wanted to do more. I am taking on the challenge of completing 40 litter picks over Lent. For me, this highlights a massive issue, that our impact on the environment has its consequences, and those consequences, are felt more by people in poorer countries, those people who are feeling the increased effect of climate instability and have no means to protect themselves from extreme weather.”
