On 5th November, an Israeli airstrike hit a designated ‘safe zone’ in Gaza, where hundreds of people were living in ShelterBox tents.

This camp, established by PARC and its international partners, was meant to be a sanctuary. Instead, it has become a scene of devastation.

People have been killed, trauma has been inflicted, and ShelterBox tents have been destroyed. Hundreds of people are now homeless once again, forced to move from one unsafe place to another. It is clear that nowhere is safe.

We will continue working with our partners, MAP and PARC, to provide emergency shelter and lifesaving aid to those displaced by the conflict. But we cannot do this alone.

Please donate today to support people affected by the conflict in Gaza and other disasters around the world.

What is happening in Gaza?

Over 12 months of unpredictable and unrelenting conflict has torn people from their loved ones and homes in Gaza. The human cost is immeasurable.

Gaza is unrecognisable. Almost all buildings have been damaged or destroyed, including houses, schools and hospitals.

At least 1.9 million people have been displaced in Gaza, 70,000 people in norther Israel and around one million people in Lebanon. Families are having to move again and again, and the need for shelter is overwhelming.

How is ShelterBox helping in Gaza?

We remain committed to our response in Gaza and we have expanded our response to Lebanon.

People need emergency shelter, blankets, water carriers, and kitchen sets – and that’s what we’re focusing on.

Families are facing a second winter being entirely homeless. In the Middle East, winters can be cold and wet. Without adequate shelter or basic items people may not survive.

We will continue to do everything we can to reach people with ShelterBox aid, but we can’t do it without your support. Please donate today to support people affected by disasters around the world.
