ShelterBox and Rotary partnership

Action Toolkit

Partnership in Action

We are proud to be Rotary International’s Project partner, further strengthening a global circle of friendship. The partnership enables Rotarians to take action by connecting their own community directly with disaster-affected communities around the world.

By working together in partnership with Rotary, ShelterBox is able to collaborate and combine resources to ensure that we can support more communities in desperate need of shelter after disaster.

Rotarians and Rotary groups around the world support us in a variety of ways, from raising funds to providing support on the ground during our response to a disaster. This enables us to work more efficiently and reach some of the most remote communities around the world.

As your partner, ShelterBox can help attract new members and inspire your community through raising awareness of the impact of our partnership around the world. Together we can share stories of hope and resilience from the communities we reach in partnership every year.

[The partnership] provides an answer for Rotarians when we’re asked what is Rotary going to do about Natural Disaster…It gives us a way to say Rotary is relevant, Rotary is providing, with our partnership with ShelterBox, support that is needed immediately, efficiently, effectively and it gives other people the opportunity to come and help and feel good about what they can do.

A project partnership in true form

In May 2016, when the most concentrated rainfall in 25 years drenched the island nation of Sri Lanka, ShelterBox was there to assist those who were forced to flee their homes.
