ShelterBox and TRAID team up for Big Clear Out event

ShelterBox has teamed up with fashion recycling charity TRAID for this year's Big ShelterBox Week.
As part of the Big ShelterBox Week ‘Big Clear Out’ supporters are encouraged to have a clear out and drop off any unwanted clothes, shoes and accessories at ShelterBox’s warehouse in Helston, Cornwall from Monday 11 – Friday 15 June during 09.00 – 17.00.
TRAID will then resell donated clothing in their charity shops, and a proportion of the funds raised will go towards ShelterBox’s life saving work in disaster areas, with the rest supporting projects fighting poverty in some of the world’s poorest communities.
Tim Bunting, ShelterBox UK General Manager, said: ‘Big ShelterBox Week is our biggest and most exciting awareness-raising event of the year and we are encouraging all our supporters to really get involved in fundraising for disaster relief. We are thrilled to be working with the charity TRAID on the ‘Big Clear Out’ and would like to thank them for their support.’
A spokesperson for TRAID said: ‘We’re very pleased to be supporting ShelterBox’s life saving work in some of the most challenging disaster zones in the world.  Clearing out your unwanted clothing is an and easy way to help raise funds for great causes as well as reducing textile waste, shrinking landfill and our carbon footprint.’

ShelterBox UK will also be promoting an online eBay auction during Big ShelterBox Week. Sign up for all the latest news and updates here or for more information ring 01326 569782
