Challenge underway!

Huw and Carolyn Thomas are going to cycle 10,000 miles on a tandem bicycle.

Towing one of our iconic green boxes, they will began their journey for ShelterBox in Vancouver, on Canada's beautiful West Coast.

From there they will begin an epic pedal across Canada and the US, New Zealand, Australia and Europe, finishing up back at Shelterbox HQ in Cornwall.

They’ll only stop to catch flights and ferries, and everything they need will be towed behind them in their green box.

Their mission is to inform people about ShelterBox and inspire them with the challenge they’re taking on. Along the way they’ll be talking to rotary clubs, schools and scout clubs, encouraging people to support the charity in some way.

Huw and Carolyn Thomas set off from Vancouver, Canada on August 8, 2010 amid a flurry of local media attention.

They'll be keeping track of their adventures on their Tandem 10,000 blog which you can read here - http://tandem10.wordpress.com
