ShelterBox is constantly evolving as a charity - see some highlights from our development, collaborations and analyses below.
We are always looking to improve the quality of our aid, as we are dedicated to delivering the best aid package that represents value for money while being accountable to our supporters, partners and every person who receives support from ShelterBox.
Our research and development team procures new items, like the recent shelter repair kits.
Collaboration has always been important in our disaster relief work with various other organisations including aid agencies, government bodies, Rotary, local communities, logistics companies and airlines.
Working together helps us make a difference to more families in need, assisting them with rebuilding their lives more efficiently and effectively.
Monitoring and evaluation
We firmly believe that our work is never finished and we are committed to measuring and evaluating the impact our aid has by listening to the needs of the people that we are helping.
Our work is evaluated through means such as beneficiary participatory video and fast, streamlined response volunteer feedback.
Knowledge and experience
As we grow and respond to a wider range of disasters and humanitarian crises, we continue to gain experience of the sector as a whole.
By participating in processes such as shelter clusters, where agencies come together to coordinate responses to major disasters, we are able to make more informed choices about the aid we send and how to provide it in the most appropriate way.
