One of the great strengths of ShelterBox is the enthusiasm of the charity's many supporters. Now - so that everyone has a chance to get more involved in what we do - we've set up Friends Of ShelterBox.
Simply signing up as a member will demonstrate your commitment to our work, while for those who want to take a more active role we will also provide you with a range of options on how you can help ShelterBox wherever you live.
All new members will receive a welcome pack and we will also send out a quarterly newsletter just for our Friends. The welcome pack will include some suggestions for how our Friends can get involved in our work - further ideas and updates will be sent on request.

Why we need you
ShelterBox is run by small but dedicated team of staff along with a huge number of loyal volunteers - helping to keep our operations highly efficient and cost-effective.
And that efficiency is why around 90% of all income goes directly on aid - a figure envied by many other charities.
However, the other 10% of our funds is still crucial. The support costs this pays for is what enables ShelterBox to function.
Income from Friends membership fees will be kept separate from other donations and put towards essential support operations.
These include the administrative costs at our HQ in Helston and financing the volunteer ShelterBox Response Teams that deliver our boxes worldwide.
Creating a regular stream of secure income from our Friends should help guarantee ShelterBox is always ready for action!
